Anyone who watched a movie in the 80,s or loves the genre of 80,s movie knows what a montage is. If you are unaware of what a montage is then let me explain to you what it is. A montage can be any length of the movie that has a theme song playing throughout it and a common theme. Sometimes this is silent and the story is told through wacky or solemn music and facial clues. Sometimes you get some dialogue filled with wacky banter or heartfelt tears and words. I love this so much that I break my life into various montages as they are a great vehicle to describe what’s going on with you. I will give my top three montages that can express the general feeling and situation I am in without going into it.
1#the everything is going great montage aka the making all the sales and winning the girl of dreams
This one is the one they play when the hero of the movie is at the stage he worked to get to. This could be being popular and sitting with the cool kids or learning to read. This is used when I get paid mostly as this montage involves the sub montage the "shopping montage" this one is where you spend tons of cash remaking yourself for a girl or to win a bet that you will be some chick. This montage is great but will always lead to the
2#getting fired and catching your wife cheating on you the same day or lost sight of what’s important montage
This is the low that always follows the high as you get brought back down to earth. This is more times than not when your new popular girlfriend and friends who are with you for the wrong reasons leave you for losing what you had or your old dorky friends won’t talk to you for ditching them as soon as you made it. This is followed by a slow sad walk as a sad song plays as you remember the good times. This can also be called the
3#the going to a new place or Eddie Murphy is in L.A montage
I have seen several Eddie Murphy movies where he is in a L.A sees something wacky and 80,s strange and does his laugh. This is used in fish out of water stories where the hero is making an "orly?" face as some high tempo music plays to frame the wackiness.
